From the Desk of Mayor Anderton

Clay neighbors, September was a full month, and every bit of it was about one thing: continuing this new season in Clay with a focus on community, collaboration, and civility. Here is a look at what we accomplished together.

Mark Your Calendar

  • Thursday, October 1: Our new city website goes live at cityofclayal.gov.
  • Tuesday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 27: City Council meetings.
  • Saturday, October 24, 2-5 PM: Clay Fall Fest at the CCHS stadium. The committee is hard at work, and I can't wait to see you there!

Football is Back in Clay!
We played the FIRST football game in the NEW CCHS stadium, and our Cougars took the win! Seeing our community pack the stands in a facility built for our students was a moment I won't forget. Congratulations, CCHS!

Responsible Budgeting
The City Council adopted our budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year. The Council also agreed to pay off the remaining $2 million of a $5.6 million debt. Thank you to our Finance Committee for your diligent work!

Investing in Our Youth
Clay received a $50,000 grant from the Jefferson County Commission for youth sports upkeep. Thank you to the Commission for supporting our young athletes.
