The W. Alan Summers Municipal Library meeting room supports educational, cultural, and community-related activities, with the goal of providing equitable access for all patrons.
Community Center Rental FAQ
Where is the library located?
The WA Summers Library is located at 6757 Old Springville Rd, Pinson, AL 35126.
How much does it cost to rent?
Free Use (Non-Commercial Activities)
Meeting rooms may be reserved at no cost for non-commercial purposes, including but not limited to:
-Book clubs
-Homeowners Association (HOA) meetings
-Study groups
-Educational classes or workshops that do not charge a fee
-Community or civic meetings
All free-use activities must be open to the public or serve a clear community or educational purpose.
Fee-Based Use (Commercial or Private Activities)
The meeting room may be rented under the following conditions:
-A fee of $50 will be charged for up to two (2) hours of use during regular library operating hours for private events or programs or classes that charge participant fees.
An additional $50 convenience fee will be applied for use outside of regular library operating hours to cover staffing costs.
What tables and chairs are available?
- 16 tables
- 40 folding chairs
- 12 tall chairs
What are the cleanup requirements?
Renters are responsible for cleaning up after their event. This includes sweeping wiping down tables, removing all decoration, and removing trash. Facilities left in poor condition may result in forfeiture of the deposit and could affect approval of future reservations.
Is alcohol allowed?
No. Alcohol is not permitted at the library.
Are there restrictions on hours?
The Library Meeting Room can be rented from 9AM-6PM, with after-hours rentals incurring a $50 fee. Rentals are unavailable on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
What is the capacity?
The meeting room accommodates up to 75 individuals, in accordance with safety and occupancy regulations.
How do I book the Library Meeting Room?
What if I have to cancel?
We understand things happen! If you have to cancel for any reason any time before the day of the rental, a full refund will be issued if you let us know in advance. No-shows will not be refunded.
